Appointments
Most appointments, such as an initial consultation or complete exam, take approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Both eyes are dilated for complete exams, laser vision, and retinal evaluations. Dilatation causes sensitivity to light and an inability to see things clearly. Those receiving dilating drops should plan on having someone else drive them home to ensure a safe trip.
